ڰ (ڰ) hosted an inspiring session on January 9, 2025, featuring renowned entrepreneurship educator Professor David Gibson (OBE). Held at the Global Education House in East London, the event, ‘Adding Entrepreneurial Thinking into the Classroom,’ welcomed students, staff, and prominent members of the ڰ leadership team, including David Bozward, Director of Employability and Entrepreneurship, and Dean of Education, Matthew Carlile.

Professor Gibson, a trailblazer in entrepreneurship education with over 25 years of experience, captivated the students and staff members by exploring how entrepreneurial thinking can be embedded in education to equip learners for the challenges of the 21st century. Drawing from his groundbreaking E-Factor course and extensive global collaborations, he emphasised the transformative power of entrepreneurial skills. “Entrepreneurial thinking is about adaptability, creativity, and resilience,” Gibson noted. “When we bring this mindset into the classroom, we are preparing individuals not just to succeed but to innovate in any field. The E-Factor model enables anyone to develop the skills to achieve their business or career goals.”

David Bozward emphasised the significance of events like these in shaping the institution’s ethos. “At ڰ, we are committed to providing students and staff with opportunities to engage with leading experts and explore new dimensions of learning,” Bozward remarked. “Professor Gibson’s session was not only inspiring for our students and employees, but also a call to action for educators to integrate entrepreneurial thinking into their teaching practices.”

The event resonated deeply with attendees, many of whom were inspired by the practical strategies and real-world applications Professor Gibson shared. Participants also had the opportunity to interact with the guest speaker during a lively Q&A session, exploring topics such as the future of entrepreneurship education and the role of technology in fostering innovation.
